Zodiac also run on a voluntary basis peer support groups to help Therapists:-

FHT Local Peer Support Group - Everyone Welcome Swansea
(Federation of Holistic Therapists is the largest multidisciplinary therapy Association in Europe) at The Rechabite Hall, Church Street, Gowerton, Swansea SA4 3EA. Members and Non Members Welcome.

Hypnotherapy Peer Support Group
in association with the GHSC (General Hypnotherapy Standards Council). The largest Hypnotherapy Association in the UK. The Group meets at Wholly Well Complementary Therapy Centre (above Barclays Bank), 12a Alexandra Road, Gorseinon, Swansea SA4 4NW. Qualified Hypnotherapists only.
Meetings commence at 6pm and finish between 8.30/9pm.
The Supports Groups meet on a bi-monthly basis and give you as a therapist the opportunity to meet other like minded professionals and dispel some of the feelings of isolation that can be prevalent in this industry. It also provides an environment to network and also continue your professional developement listening to speakers who will talk and demonstrate during the evening events. Many of the talks will go on to provide an opportunity to do further training at local workshops. Everyone is welcome to come along to the meetings however, to attend the Hypnotherapy Support Group you will need to be a qualified Hypnotherapist.
Zodiac recently took on this responsibility on a voluntary basis to:-
- Support local members of the above Associations
- Help promote our local members and the work they do
- Provide an opportunity for networking and meeting other practitioners
- Provide a local opportunity for gaining CPD credits
- Offer a mechanism to get questions from members to the Assocations
- Offer local training opportunities for courses such as First Aid
- Bring local membership together with the general public and other non FHT/GHR Practitioners to meet, discuss and enjoy time together in a safe and friendly environment.
- Raise the profile of FHT and GHSC and perhaps develop links with other professional bodies such as the NHS.
