The Diploma in Reflexology has been produced to satisfy a need for a well structured vocationally-related qualification for practising reflexologists. Public interest in complementary therapies and reflexology in particular, is growing and the demand for reflexology in the workplace continues to grow rapidly as companies are increasingly aware of the problems caused by stress at work. The NHS is increasingly aware of the effectiveness of reflexology in some areas of patient care. As a result, reflexologists are being employed or contracted into NHS hospitals and GP Surgeries. This qualification is designed principally to lead directly into employment as a reflexologist. It will also enable progression to a First Degree in Health Sciences in a number of Higher Education Programmes in UK Universities. There are post graduate programmes available for which this qualification is a pre-requisite.
The AoR plays a key role in the development and continual improvement of standards and training and has earned a respected international reputation. To become a Member of the Association of Reflexologists is deemed to be the mark of a true professional. If you are researching various courses and qualifications you may wish to check if the qualification on offer can lead to membership of the AoR. Upon completion of our Reflexology Diploma Course a student will be automatically upgraded to be a full member of the AoR and be able to use the letters 'MAR' after their name.
The ABC Awards qualification is endorsed by the AoR and is government approved it is also on the National Qualifications Framework meaning that the qualification is nationally recognised by the government and employers. Students can expect to learn in a warm and friendly environment supported by dedicated and qualified tutors who share the same passion for reflexology as their students.
